Trevor Baker is an interdisciplinary artist with a strong background in still photography and a current focus on motion picture. He has worked on more than twenty films, two of which have won awards. He focuses mainly on a raw cinema verite inspired aesthetic, using lots of handheld shots and available lighting, although sometimes he prefers a surreal and harshly lit setting. Trevor is used to working guerilla style without a budget, permits, or very much time. In his still work he has created “glitch art” by corrupting the digital files of photographs, as well as using a scanner as a portraiture device. He releases noise music under the title NoizeHack, as well as releasing free music software for other musicians.
Trevor’s current projects include shooting music videos and creating a series of noise video art pieces to be released on youtube. He recently relocated to Los Angeles, but is still available for work in San Francisco.
Trevor has worked on films that won awards at the Epidemic Film Festival and the San Jose 48 Hour Film Festival. In the summer of 2011 he completed his first feature film as the Director of Photography, which should be released to festivals in 2012.
